Carmen Tornos, MD, is an Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Specialist with over 40 years of experience in the diagnosis and study of gynecological and breast diseases. Dr. Tornos is board-certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology. She has received numerous awards and honors, including being named one of America’s top doctors for more than 17 years in a row.
Dr. Tornos attended medical school at Universidad Autonoma in Barcelona, Spain. She completed an internship and a Hematology and Hemotherapy residency at Ciudad Sanitaria Valle de Hebron in Barcelona, Spain . She then completed a residency in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology at The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX.
Dr. Tornos previously held appointments as an attending pathologist at the University of Texans, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and more recently at Stony Brook University with the title of full Professor of Pathology. She speaks fluent English, Spanish, French, and Catalan.
